Which iOS version is required?

PR Foundry requires iOS 17 or later and is built for iPhone.

Does it need an account or an internet connection?

Not for the core app. There's nothing to sign up for, and it works fully offline, even on a gym floor with no signal. An account is optional and only comes into play if you want cloud sync or to connect your own AI.

Where is my data stored, and can I export it?

By default everything is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). If you turn on cloud sync, a copy is mirrored to your account so you can reach it on another device or from a connected AI. Either way you can export your full history as JSON or CSV at any time via the iOS share sheet.

What is the "bring your own AI" feature?

You can connect the AI you already use, like Claude or ChatGPT, to PR Foundry. It reads your real training history, then writes a program tailored to your goals and pushes it back to the app as a program you can pick and run. PR Foundry is the connector your AI talks to; you bring the AI, and no model keys live in the app.

How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT?

Sign in inside the app, open Settings → Connect your AI, and copy the MCP server URL. In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector and paste that URL. You approve access once in your browser, then ask your AI to read your training or design a program.

Does my AI change my workouts on its own?

No. What your AI pushes shows up as a program you can choose, not a change to your current week. Pick it under Settings → Programming Method → User AI Generated, generate the week you want, and the weights snap to the plates you own with warm-ups filled in.

Who can see my training data when I connect an AI?

Only the AI clients you connect, and only after you approve access in your browser. The data goes to the AI provider you chose, under their terms. You can see every connected client and disconnect any of them from your account on the web, and you can delete your account and cloud data at any time.

How do I set my 1RMs? Why are my weights off?

Open the 1RM Manager and enter your estimated one-rep max for each lift. Generated plan weights are calculated from those values (and a 90%-of-1RM Training Max where a program calls for one), so keeping them current keeps your weights accurate.

How does the rest timer decide durations?

You set the rest timer by RPE/RIR band in Settings. For example, 2 minutes for RPE ≤6, 3 minutes for RPE 7–8, and 4 minutes for RPE 9–10. It auto-starts after each set and adapts to the effort you log.

How do I switch programs or change my subprogram?

Pick a new program or subprogram from the program selector. Your existing history stays on the device; new weekly plans generate from the program you choose.

Does it support kilograms?

Yes. Full lbs and kg support runs throughout the app, including the plate calculator and warm-up ramps.

How much does it cost?

PR Foundry is free right now. Every program, the full tracker, all the tools, and the AI connection are open while we grow.
